Angel with Short Pleated Skirt and Psalter
Historical instrument rediscovered! This angel with short skirt strokes a psalter, the original form of the zither, harp and inspiration for the harpsichord. The triangular resonance body, which is strung with strings in its real equivalent, is decorated with a filigree note and is played with an elaborately crafted bow. The very spherical sounding instrument was often plucked by hand in the Middle Ages and is sung about in the song "Praise the Lords, the mighty King of Honor". The angel with short skirt is lovingly handmade in our angel workshop in Grünhainichen and is a real original from the German Erzgebirge.
